The Socioeconomics of Latin America consist of the Wealthy Elite class, the Middle Class, and the Poor Majority. As you can see, the lower class takes up most of the population. The people of Latin America are considered to be Hispanic Americans and they are the fastest growing population. All of the classes in Latin America contribute a huge role in society.

Wealthy ClassThe Wealthy Class of Latin America takes has the smallest population. These people are very high up in society and are few and far between. The people in this area of society are either a part of the government, or they are high up in the army.

The Middle ClassThis area of Latin America is the working class. The people who work for the wealthy class or just make their own money selling goods.
Poverty Rates 38 percent of Latin America's population is in poverty. 200 million people earn between four and ten dollars a day. The poverty rate has decreased over the past couple of years but is still a growing problem. |
Lower ClassThe lower class consists of most of the population. They don't get to experience as higher of an education than the other classes get. They tend to live in highly populated areas and in close quarters where disease can spread easily and rapidly.
